- Owed when you weren't told at least 2 weeks before (between 2 weeks and 24 hours only if the airline offered an alternative or refund you accepted).
- Delay length
- Delays get meals and refreshments, not cash. Domestic delays over 6 hours: an alternative flight within 6 hours or a full refund. Hotel if over 24 hours.
- Block time
- We don't see block time in emails, so the calculator estimates it from distance.
- Airline size
- Airline size doesn't matter.
- Extraordinary circumstances
- No compensation for extraordinary circumstances, or if you didn't give the airline contact details.
Claim deadline
The CAR sets no claim deadline. Claim promptly. If the airline doesn't resolve it, use AirSewa, the Ministry of Civil Aviation's grievance portal.

Airline pages exist only where DGCA CAR covers the airline's own flights. For other airlines, coverage depends on the route: use the calculator above.
If none of these rules covers your flight, the Montreal Convention (Art. 19) may still let you claim proven costs caused by an international delay, up to 6,303 SDR per passenger, within 2 years.
